Lewis D. Paris (1796-1881)
FREEPORT FACTS
Lewis D. Paris, an aged citizen of this vicinity died on Tuesday of last
week. The deceased was a native of New Jersey and a pensioner of
the war of 1812, and was
in this 86th year, having attained the age of 85 last August. His
funeral was preached at the U. B. Church in this place on Wednesday last
at 1 o'clock p.m., by Rev. Arnold.

Lewis D. Paris (1796-1881)
OREGON.
Louis D. Paris died at his residence near this place Monday night, November
14th inst., and was buried Wednesday the 16th at Olive
Branch Cemetery. Father Paris was one of the oldest citizens of the
county, being in the 86th year of his age. He was a native of New Jersey,
where in his youth he volunteered to serve his country in the war
of 1812, in recognition of which service he was a pensioner at the
time of his death. While yet in the vigor of manhood he came to Ohio,
and for many years has been a resident of this vicinity. He died as he
had lived, a firm believer in the religion of the Lord and Savior.
